It is impossible to say exactly how many threatened species there are on Earth – but latest estimates suggest there are over 25,000. The vast majority of these attract little or no attention and so their plight remains.
And that is where our journey began.
It was in 2004 that Dr Bill Egginton first created the R.E.S.C.U.E series – Rare and Endangered Species for Children’s Understanding and Education – and set about writing stories with lesser-known threatened animals as a theme.
By 2017 he had two books published and was working on his third which was subsequently published in the following year.
Bill continues to write and is actively searching for publishers to support his work.
His vision is to help secure the future of lesser-known threatened animal species through global engagement, entertainment and education: stories with a conscience.
